German Army have been marauding over the globe's underground tunnels and artistic hell-holes for a few years, spreading a clunky, deconstructed minimal wave industrialism that reeks of past actions, rough-shod strikes against conventional melodic forms, while maintaining an unutterable sense of groove. Creepy, clandestine revolt and revolting evils from some rather disturbed provinces.

"Former Prison" is the latest offering from GeRmaN ArMy, an LA duo embedded in the Kill Shaman Records galaxy. This tape is a strange thing mostly made of sawtooth waves, clattering drum-machine percussion and 2am mumbling. It's music for gazing out of your apartment window in the early hours as the street lights reveal the denizens of a hot city night. These sounds are immersive and seductive, they may be a trap.
